With the exception of the superb luminal horror Backrooms, I hardly watched anything all month on account of being completely consumed with playing Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
Fortunately, I binged through this lot over the last few days.

Dada Debaser Notes:
- Of the three '50s sci-fi films I watched, the highlight for me was easily Devil Girl from Mars. An extraterrestrial babe arrives in Scotland to pick up men; tell me that doesn't sound a lot like Under the Skin (2013)!
- Last month. it was Ice Cream Man; this month, it's Buddy; I'm amazed at how convincingly good child actors are today, but I'm equally baffled why any parent would let them appear in such disturbing movies.
- Suspiria is without a doubt one of the most beautiful films ever made.
I loathe the fact that Letterboxd hipsters invented the term murderdrone, but I'm pleased to see the lo-fi and utterly bonkers French slasher Ogroff (AKA Ogroff: Mad Mutilator) finally get a Blu-Ray release this month because of it. Day one purchase.
